Golden State Warriors have won the NBA Championship after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games in the Finals. The series is the Warriors' fourth straight meeting with the Cavs, and they have won all of them. It is the first time in history that two teams have met four years in a row in the Finals.
While the Warriors are the best team in the NBA, the league has a few questions about their title chances. The most important one is whether they can repeat as champions. They have won back-to-back titles in the last two seasons, but that is the exception. That means they have to win the next three to keep the streak alive. And they have to do it against some of the all-time greats.

Both of those teams have won at least two titles, while the Houston Rockets have reached the Western Conference finals. However, the Warriors have a better winning percentage than either of those teams. In fact, they have a 328-83 record in the four seasons since the Miami Heat swept them in the playoffs in 2013.
The Warriors did have a bit of luck in their quest for a back-to-back championship. They entered the series with a 16-1 playoff record. As a result, they were heavy favorites to take the series. Unfortunately, they went on a road trip for the final two games of the series. Although they came away with a 3-2 victory, they did not have enough help from their supporting cast to make it a sweeping sweep.
Another thing the Warriors did well was beating LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the playoffs. They lost the first two games of the series. However, they managed to get the series back on track with an overtime victory in Game 1.
LeBron James led the way with 38 points in the first game. But he was also injured during the contest. Even so, the Warriors pushed their advantage to nine points at halftime. Despite that, they still had a hard time closing out the Cavs in the second half. By the end of the quarter, the Warriors had opened up a 21-point lead.
In the end, it was a great run for the Golden State Warriors, who won their third straight title in the past four years. Not only did they win a championship, but they did so in style. Their 60-point victory was the largest margin of victory in the history of the Finals.
In the process, they joined a select group of teams that have won multiple championships in the same four-year span. Other notable winners include Shaq and Kobe of the Los Angeles Lakers, Bill Russell's Boston Celtics, and the Tim Duncan-David Robinson Spurs.
